It is usually hired with an experienced driver for demanding off-road use, though self-drive is possible for those used to a large pickup. It is a working, capability-first vehicle rather than a comfort cruiser.

The open load bed lets you carry bulky gear, supplies or luggage that would not fit inside an SUV, while still seating five and offering full 4x4 ability for rough tracks.
It is capable and durable rather than plush. For a comfort-first family tour a Prado or Fortuner is nicer, but for cargo and hard off-road the Revo is hard to beat.
